In 2018, the environmental administration organised a nationwide air quality measurement campaign in collaboration with 36 participating municipalities and myenergy. More specifically, it is a national measurement campaign of NO2 by passive tubes in the context of the national air quality program and the "Klimapakt Loftqualitéit". The campaign aims to raise awareness and inform municipalities and their inhabitants about the air quality in their respective municipalities, motivate municipalities to contribute to improving their air quality, and demonstrate the efforts undertaken by municipalities for future communications.

The geostatistical interpolation map shows in real time the most probable distribution of the pollutant nitrogen dioxid between the different fixed measurement points that make up the telemetric network of Luxembourg, this at a resolution of 1km2.

The quiet urban landscape areas include relatively large, continuous open spaces of at least regional importance with a high recreational function and corresponding development for leisure and recreation. Its importance lies in the balancing function to the noisy and densely populated areas of the agglomeration of Luxembourg. The quiet urban landscape close to the residential area allows, for example, extensive walks with only occasional crossing of areas with higher noise levels.
